Sticker Reviews | New Pilot Animation | AAPI Heritage Month

We're in the midst of Spring and there's a lot of growth happening. First off, it's crazy to see how many people have tuned into my last blog?! I was not expecting that at all but if you're new here, thanks for stopping by and happy to have you join in on my journey! My brand has been going thru a bunch of upgrades including a line up of new products, reviewing sticker companies to help me better align those products with my values and finally showing you a pilot episode where I am listed as the creative director.

Let's get into it!

Reviewing Sticker Printing Companies

SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL!

As I begin to lean more into my brand and expanding products to get myself ready for peak market season, it's really forced me to be mindful on how I approach my products. Since a lot of the decisions are made by me, I can choose the manufacturer and materials that my products are made from. In my review, I ordered three sample packs from some of the most popular sticker manufacturers online and rate each company based on turnaround time, pricing and analyzing their business practices and values. Hope you enjoy!

STUPID CUPID STICKER SHEET STILL AVAILABLE!

This 4"x6" vinyl sticker sheet comes with 10 original designs and are dish washer safe.

Sprinkled with a little bit of dark humor, this set is inspired by all the broken hearts around the world, the anti-Valentine's Day rhetoric and singles awareness day.

Love can feel serious but life's too short; why take it seriously?

FIND ME ON TIKTOK!

Here's my latest post:

Despite the fact that I didn't get to be part of the Art Show Gallery at Sakura Con this year, they say one door closes and another one opens. Which is exactly what happened. For the first time in a while I was an attendee and it was nice just enjoying the convention in all its glory without the stress of working. I got to check out the vendors and see what other artists are doing, see a panel and get a personalized signature from artists that I look up to (while simultaneously embarrassing myself lol), and I got to party it up at the rave with friends. I have no regrets, I'm grateful for the memories and I'm looking forward to what the future has in store.

April Twitch Streams Complete

Mermay Challenge

Weekly Streams Starting Soon!

In so many ways, it was so much fun getting back into Twitch connecting with friends and followers again but admittedly, streaming every week got pretty exhausting and there was moment that I wasn't sure I was going to make it. But I'm happy to announce that even though I missed a day in my schedule, I not only managed to raise my average views with the help of friends, I was also able to meet my partner goal of streaming a total of 25 hours in one month. I don't think I want to do that again but to maintain that momentum, I'll be doing livestreams drawing the mermay challenge prompt of the day from start to finish. To learn more about the Mermay Challenge I posted a link to their Instagram below.

Starting May 6th, 2024 streams will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4PM to 7PM at https://www.twitch.tv/goldfishglub.

For this month's goal, I'm hoping to get the twitch partner achievement of streaming 12 unique days. this time, I don't feel pressured to do those long 6 hour Streams. After the challenge is over, I'll be taking a month long hiatus in June to celebrate me since it'll be my birthday month. I don't know if I want to gun it for the partner position but part of me wants to at least accomplish this goal and take it into consideration. I'm feeling pretty inspired and don't want to think aiming high is beyond me. In the meantime, I hope you can enjoy some clips from my last stream!

Did you know that May is AAPI Heritage Month?

Since there has been more attention and awareness to the struggles of the Asian American and Pacific Islander experience it is nice to see an increase in representation and mindfulness in my everyday life. Progress is progress but we still have a long ways to go. It is unfortunate that I still struggle with micro-aggressions, stereotypes and the more I distance myself from being a model minority and internalized whiteness the more friction I experience. But because of this, I've been able to forge stronger bonds that allow me to be my genuine self knowing they will support me, validate me and invest in my growth as much as I invest into them. In so many ways I'm very fortunate that I get to have these bonds but the reality is that within the AAPI community, many of those bonds are broken due to modern day colonization, discrimination and intersectionality. As you move thru this month all I ask is that you take time to be empathetic. Learn, listen, support and validate your fellow AAPIs. If you are looking for a good place to start I implore you to check out:

Although this design was made for International Women's Day the celebration of ALL women should happen everyday.

In a society that uses beauty standards to pin women not just against each other but also against themselves, I wanted to make this set to remind us that all bodies are beautiful and deserve to be loved.

Sticker sheets are now available to order on my website and free shipping is available to anywhere in the US. Each 4"x6" vinyl sticker sheet comes with seven original designs, are dish washer safe, are 100% made in the USA and 100% support businesses of color.

new pilot episode is out and i'm the creative director?!

If you've been keeping up with these blog posts or have been following me for awhile, you'll know that I've been working with Austin Ford of @gfy95 (IG down below). Together so far, we've made two children's books, apparel and we have another project in the works. But as I'm working on that project, Austin commissioned some amazing artists to animate the first children's book we worked on, Gee's Way or The Freeway, where I am listed as the creative director. I can't tell you how excited and happy this made me so I Hope you enjoy this video as much as we both did.

Lastly, my project with @Gfy95 is still in session so Be sure to follow his Instagram to stay up to date!
